The Legato Vault is a secure, online "hub" that allows retailers to access the catalogs of participating publishers and to make those catalogs available to their customers. Customers can search, preview and purchase sheet music, audio and video all through a retailer's own website.

 

Legato Vault Features:

  • Online Digital Media Management

    The Legato Vault manages the storage and sale of digital media for publishers and retailers.

    Here's how it works:

    • Publishers upload sheet music and other media files to the Legato Vault.
    • Publishers' catalogs are made available to retailers on the Vault.
    • With the publisher's approval, retailers sell the scores and media files on their own web sites.

  • Transaction Tracking and Security

    The Legato Vault tracks all transactions for the publisher and retailer. All sales are secure - the customer never acquires a digital copy of a score.

  • Sheet Music Previewing and Printing

    The Legato Vault offers publishers options for the secure viewing and printing of sheet music:

    • Interactive Mode. Customers can preview a score, hear it play-back, vary the tempo and even transpose the key before making a purchase. Once they purchase the score they can view the entire piece and print it in the new or original key.
    • View-Only Mode. Customers can preview the first page of a secure PDF score. Once they purchase the score they can view the entire piece and print it.
    • In addition to using the Legato Sheet Music Viewer, publishers can upload scores in other formats, such as Sibelius Scorch® or Finale Viewer® files.

    Legato Vault manages all of these elements and offers standard services, making integration and use of the system a simple, straight-forward process.
